Juniors

The Juniors continue to be a lively class that is working hard at their academics because post-high school planning is approaching fast.  Some of the programs to assist the juniors will be: attending College Planning Days and job shadowing.

The next order of business for the Junior class is the ACT.  I encourage Juniors to take the ACT at the end of their Junior year so that their scores are available for college applications and scholarships their senior year.

Sophomores

This year the Sophomores will be attending Equity Days in March at Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown.  Equity Days is an opportunity for them to learn about gender-related non-traditional careers and all the topics that come along with these types of careers such as sexual harassment, difference in pay rates, opportunities for advancement, and the demand for diversifying these careers.

Equity Days is one of many programs that we get through our membership in the Tech Prep Consortium.

Freshmen

The Freshmen are beginning to become familiar with the high school environment.  The main focus with the Freshmen will be to complete their year successfully to lay a solid foundation for the rest of their high school endeavors.
